Symptom Monitoring and Testing
Since February we have remained consistent with our symptom screening process that includes temperature checks twice per day for residents and at the beginning of each shift for employees. That screening continues today for all individuals that do not present any symptoms or that are negative for Covid-19.
In May we began serology tests screening among all residents and staff. This was supplemental to our screening process as well as PCR testing when symptoms occurred or concerns would arise for Covid-19. This also continued if we had any positive cases.
Beginning at the end of October, we began weekly testing for Covid-19 among all of our residents and staff with a combination of nasal PCR and Antigen tests. While each individual’s response to Covid-19 is different, there have been many situations where symptoms have not presented until days after a positive test.
In November we were able to secure a rapid antigen test machine that will allow us to administer tests with results on site, within 15 minutes.
We will continue to test everyone at a minimum of once per week until we have had multiple weeks of all negative results.

While we are still allowing necessary visits, for the safety of all that are involved, please consider to remain absent from Mari de Villa at this time.
Beginning March 22, we have drastically lowered the amount of people throughout the building. This includes private care givers, hospice agencies, and other non-Mari de Villa staff. If possible, we are using video conferencing and Telehealth with doctors and hospice. We are still providing any and all care that any of our residents will need.

Drop Offs
Please no perishable item. We are working our fastest to deliver items to our residents.
If you need to drop off anything for a guest, please leave it at the designated location outside the front of the East Building. All items must be labeled with the guest's name.

UPDATE TO RESERVATIONS
Window Visits
We are temporarily assigning all window visits to be at each resident's room. They will NOT be at the front of either building. If you are in need of our staff to provide a phone or iPad for your visit, you will need to make a reservation for that visit as we will need to ensure availability of the devices.
If a resident has a phone and is comfortable making or receiving calls, there is not a need to make a reservation below for a window visit. However, please call the front office if you need assistance entering the gates to one of the courtyards.
