Facility update
Everyone at Mari de Villa would all like to say thank you for the continued understanding during this current situation we are all involved in. We know this is very difficult for everyone involved and we will continue to do everything that we can to make this as smooth (and safe) of a time period as possible.

We still do not have any residents that have a temperature and we do not allow anyone to enter the building with a temperature.  Should anyone even show signs of a slight fever, coughing, or shortness of breath, we will begin to monitor that individual even more closely and will take additional steps to ensure that individual's well being as well as the others within the facility. In the event it is a non resident that shows those signs, they will not be allowed to enter.

Since our last email we have been receiving more protocols and suggestions from different agencies on how to handle this situation. While there were some new ideas that we have implemented, a majority of the protocols they are requiring had already been implemented by all of our staff several days before.
All of our residents temperature at a minimum of twice per day. We take the temperature of every employee and anyone necessary to provide essential care immediately upon entering. These are in addition to many other precautions we have been implementing.

FaceTime/Skype Scheduling
Beginning this past week many of our guests and families have enjoyed a FaceTime or Skype video call. The world of technology has definitely added new possibilities to make situations like this a little more enjoyable. If you are interested in setting up a FaceTime or Skype Video call, please visit MDVcontact.com and scroll down to the calendar listed and choose the date and time you would like to visit with your loved one. If the date and time is listed, it is available!

Wall of Good
There is always something good that comes out of every situation. Sometimes it is difficult to find, sometimes it will be right in front of you, but there is always something good to find. Earlier this week we have started our "Wall of Good" located outside of our Main Office. Anyone is welcome to add anything positive to the dry erase board or pictures to the wall. We have been getting wonderful notes from families and hand drawn cards and pictures from children, some of whom that are not affiliated at all but that are just wanting to send some hope. For the duration of this event, we are going to continue to fill up the wall and add as many dry erase boards as needed. Our staff and residents are enjoying all the letters, pictures, and positive comments!

Deliveries
In an effort to take all precautionary steps to protect all residents and staff, we are setting up a drop off location outside of the East Building Entrance (weather permitting). We ask to limit the drop offs and deliveries during this time, but in the event that something needs to be brought here, please leave it in the designated location with the resident's name on the item.

All of us at Mari de Villa understand this is a very difficult time for our families and we want to do everything we can to ensure that your loved ones are taken care of. We are continuing to provide the same level of care, and then some! Please reach out at anytime for updates, questions, concerns.
As always, we can be reached 24 hours per day. Do not hesitate to reach out at anytime.
