Facility Update

We are fortunate that we have not had any cases of Covid-19 present within our facility. Residents and staff continue to remain healthy. While the surrounding areas continue to open, Mari de Villa is going to take an abundance of precautions. While we cannot wait for the social hours and live entertainment to begin, we want to continue to make sure everyone is safe. Our daily conversations between our organization is how and when do we get families and guests involved again. It will be a slow process and we will continue alternative sources such as video calls and window visits in the meantime, but please know that we truly want to open as quickly as possible.

In the coming weeks we plan to begin having outdoor visits, at a safe distance. We will let you know as soon as this begins to take place.

Please know, that some of our decisions are also based on state and local recommendations and guidelines.

The best way to keep updated with the visitor status is the daily updates on MDVcontact.com

While we do not have a set date yet for re-opening as of right now, we will adjust accordingly and update families as soon as we can.

New admissions

Since many of these restrictions began, we have had residents admitted to the hospital for various needs and have returned to Mari de Villa.  While we adjusted our procedure for readmissions, these procedures allowed us to have a strong base for allowing new admissions. In addition, we have dedicated a portion of our building specifically in the event of Covid positive cases. While there have not been any Covid cases we have been able to utilize that wing for new admissions.  This situation of Covid has not only impacted our existing residents and families, but prospective residents as well.  Since March, we have had many people inquire and wait for us to allow additional residents during this time.  As we have worked through this, we have decided to allow new admissions to Mari de Villa, which started last week.  The process is very thorough and requires prospective residents to have a negative Covid test prior to admission, would remain on isolation for a set period of time. This would be followed by another Covid test.

In addition, all of our other screening procedures will remain in place.

Please do not hesitate to reach out should you have any questions. We appreciate everyone’s understanding throughout all of this.

All of us at Mari de Villa understand this is a very difficult time for our families and we want to do everything we can to ensure that your loved ones are taken care of. We are continuing to provide the same level of care, and then some! Please reach out at anytime for updates, questions, concerns.
As always, we can be reached 24 hours per day. Do not hesitate to reach out at anytime.
