Facility update

Everyone at Mari de Villa would like to say thank you for the continued understanding during this current situation. We know this is very difficult for everyone involved and we will continue to do everything we can to make this as smooth (and safe) as possible during this time.

We still do not have any residents that have a temperature and we do not allow anyone to enter the building with a temperature.  Should anyone show signs of a slight fever, coughing, or shortness of breath, we will begin to monitor that individual closely. We will also take additional steps to ensure that the particular individual's well being, as well as the others within the facility, are met. In the event if it is a non resident that shows those signs or symptoms, they will not be allowed to enter.
Beginning March 22, we have drastically lowered the amount of people throughout the building. This includes private care givers, hospice agencies, and other non-Mari de Villa staff. If possible, we are using video conferencing and Telehealth with doctors and hospice. We are still providing any and all care that any of our residents will need.

As of March 29, Mari de Villa continues to remain healthy with no signs of Covid-19, including no fevers, cough, or shortness of breath.

Out of an abundance of caution, we have closed the dining rooms for the time being and all meals will be delivered via room service.

We take all of our residents’ temperatures at a minimum of twice per day. We take the temperature of every employee and anyone necessary to provide essential care immediately upon entering. These are in addition to many other precautions we have been implementing.

FaceTime/Skype Scheduling
Our guests and families have greatly enjoyed the opportunity to continue to communicate with loved ones throughout this time. If you haven't had a chance, please check our contact website, MDVcontact.com, and sign up for a video conference!

Wall of Good
We cannot begin to thank everyone for the continued support that we receive on a daily basis. The cards, letters, gifts for all staff, emails, and more are all greatly appreciated! While there is a lot of uncertainty, the attitude and morale of staff remains high. There is absolutely a strong level of compassion given by all of our staff. However, your acts of kindness continue to lift us all up!

Deliveries
We are still accepting drop off packages and deliveries at the front of the East Building (directly behind the flag poles). However, we are asking to please not drop off any perishable items. Our staff will work as quickly as possible to deliver the packages to your loved one.

Concert in the Courtyard
On Thursday, March 26, we had a Concert in the Courtyard! On a beautiful Spring afternoon, Michael Lacey's 3 piece band played everyone's favorites in the west courtyard. Having the concert in the courtyard not only allowed for our guests to enjoy the beautiful 75* weather, but also allowed for proper Social Distancing. Everyone had their windows and doors open, were sitting on the patios, or just outside enjoying some wonderful music and a great time! We are closely watching the weather and will arrange another "Concert in the Courtyard" for the East Courtyards as well. We have added several pictures below!

All of us at Mari de Villa understand this is a very difficult time for our families and we want to do everything we can to ensure that your loved ones are taken care of. We are continuing to provide the same level of care, and then some! Please reach out at anytime for updates, questions, concerns.
As always, we can be reached 24 hours per day. Do not hesitate to reach out at anytime.
