Facility update!

First of all, we would like to share that we are taking extra precautions for all of our residents, staff, and anyone that does need to enter Mari de Villa.

We are continuing to take all of our residents temperature at a minimum of twice per day. We take the temperature of every employee and anyone necessary to provide essential care immediately upon entering.

At this time, we do not have any residents that have a temperature and we do not allow anyone to enter the building with a temperature.  Should anyone even show signs of a slight fever, coughing, or shortness of breath, we will begin to monitor that individual even more closely and will take additional steps to ensure that individual's well being as well as the others within the facility. In the event it is a non resident that shows those signs, they will not be allowed to enter.

While we are limiting large group activities and all outside entertainment at this time, we are continuing to engage with all residents on a daily basis. Whether it be small group events of discussions, afternoon movies, or game, we are doing everything we can to care for all of our residents on all levels of needs. Tomorrow we will be celebrating St. Patrick’s Day with hats, desserts, and decorations!

We apologize for any lack of communication. As for everyone in the world, this is a trying time for all of us and we have been working diligently to get all of these protocols in place. With that said, the group of individuals that are providing the care, day in and day out, are second to none and your loved ones have been the number one priority. The cooperation, ideas, understand, compassion, and empathy has been highlighted even more so during this time. On a daily basis we are having team meetings with all staff to discuss updates, ideas, policies, and overall discussions of the current situation.

All of us at Mari de Villa understand this is a very difficult time for our families and we want to do everything we can to ensure that your loved ones are taken care of. Please reach out at anytime for updates, questions, concerns. Implementing FaceTime and Skype calls by bringing an iPad directly to the residents room has been very well received and enjoyed.

As always, we can be reached 24 hours per day. Do not hesitate to reach out at anytime.
