Facility update

We are continually thankful for everyone’s understanding during this period. While we understand these are unprecedented times, please know that our mission is to take care of your loved one.

Every day we all continue to build on our policies and precautions.  From eliminating almost all non-employee traffic from our buildings to designating more hand washing rooms throughout, we continue to adapt and change to do all that we can.

On-Site Testing & Protective Gear
Late last week we were able to secure FDA approved on-site rapid response Covid-19 test kits. We have not had any residents or staff show signs or symptoms and we have not administered any tests yet; it is comforting knowing that we have the ability to take action as quickly as possible should the need arise. Our goal is to obtain additional kits as they become available. Please know we are continuing to do everything possible to care and protect everyone involved with Mari de Villa.
Our team began acquiring needed supplies in January after the CDC had made their initial recommendations. Whether it be existing vendors that we have used for years, new vendors that are answering the call to the medical community as a whole, or the generosity of some organizations that we have relationships with and donated over one thousand masks: we are continuing to add supplies and doing everything we can to stay protected.

Events and Activities
The physical well being is paramount for all of our residents, but we are continuing to focus on emotional and social well being of residents as well. Our activity staff is having very small group events to allow for socialization while still taking an abundance of precaution to care for everyone. All group activities are only a few people at a time and have more than the required six feet distancing between individuals. We are also looking for ways to show different virtual tours, movies, and other ways to keep everyone engaged.

While there are different religious channels throughout Mari de Villa’s television guide, we are working on streaming local church and mass services, as well as a pastor providing a service specifically for Mari de Villa. This time of the year is very important for so many people and we will do our best to provide additional services and denominations as well.

Below are some pictures of guests that have been preparing for the Easter Bunny!

We have established a video call schedule that we know we can manage every day. With that said, we will modify the schedule to add more time slots when we have availability.  Keep up with the website MDVcontact.com calendar for additional dates and times.

Please feel free to share this email with other family members to allow them to sign up for our newsletter and emergency contact. While we are preparing for different scenarios, we are hopeful that we can continue to remain healthy! We will remain in close communication with all of our families throughout this process.

A crisis does not develop who you will be, but instead reveals who you are. There has never been any doubt to who our team is, but the current situation has proven what we already knew; the staff members at Mari de Villa are truly top notch and we couldn’t be prouder.

All of us at Mari de Villa understand this is a very difficult time for our families and we want to do everything we can to ensure that your loved ones are taken care of. We are continuing to provide the same level of care, and then some! Please reach out at anytime for updates, questions, concerns.
As always, we can be reached 24 hours per day. Do not hesitate to reach out at anytime.

We want to wish you all a Happy and Blessed Easter!
